20 H.P.

20/36 H.P. loco with cab and electric lighting.
The 20 H.P. diesel was introduced in 1930 and was fitted with the Dorman 2RB engine, producing 21 B.H.P. at 800 R.P.M., 26.5 B.H.P. at 1000 R.P.M. and 36 B.H.P. at 1500 R.P.M.
The designation was changed to 20/36 H.P. in 1932 and this was used until 1934 when the 2RB engined locos became known as 25/36 H.P., although some ex Petrol Loco Hirers 20/36 locos had been reconditioned and sold as 25/36 H.P. in the previous year.
The frame of these diesel types is the same as the petrol engined 20/35 H.P. type.

20 H.P.: 5601-5622.
20/36 H.P.: 5623-5648.
Note: 5634-5638, 5640 & 5641 were PLH locos, which were reconditioned and sold as 25/36 H.P.
25/36 H.P.: 5649-5662, 5663-5697, 5711-5725, 6501-6521.
Note: 6501-6521 were fitted with Dorman 2DL engines. Frame type unknown.
